Health Research, Inc., a not-for-profit corp., seeks a Research Scientist 2 who will act as the Project Coordinator and assume primary responsibility for coordinating and evaluating the C. difficile prevention efforts among hospitals in the Metropolitan Area Regional Office catchment area. The incumbent will be required to provide data reports for analyses for healthcare facilities, regional healthcare associations and others; be responsible for data accuracy and ensuring reports reflect possible interpretations and limitations of the data; provide Program support for epidemiologic investigations and research activities; and present research results to various audiences and in peer-reviewed publications.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in epidemiology or infection control and three years of professional research experience; OR a Master’s degree and two years of professional research experience; OR a Doctorate in the appropriate field.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and experience in conducting surveillance activities, proficiency using SAS to analyze data, excellent organizational, communication, and educational skills and the ability to apply and adapt to various audiences and settings, and knowledge and experience in hospital infection prevention and control (preferably CIC) and/or research to reduce healthcare-associated infections in select settings and for targeted infections.
